WELCOME TO HERITAGE INTERMEDIATE GRADE CENTER………
On behalf of the students and staff at Heritage IGC, we would like to welcome you to our beautiful new school!
Heritage IGC opened August, 2009, just in time for students to arrive. This past year we have been putting on the finishing touches with room and hallway decorations and outdoor landscaping. We our proud of our new building, and it is a "state-of-the-art" educational facility with Smart Boards and teacher phones in every classroom. We also have two computers in each classroom for student use, in addition to the computers located in our computer lab and library. Our teachers take full advantage of the new technology to help Heritage students get the most out of each day's lessons.
In addition, Heritage IGC is a Great Expectations Model School! We were designated as a Model School for two years while at Mission IGC and now one year at Heritage. It is our intention to maintain our Model School status throughout the coming years to insure that our students receive the best instruction possible from some of Oklahoma's best teachers!
We set high expectations for our students and ourselves; we believe that all children can learn and work diligently to meet their individual learning needs; we build self-esteem; we provide of safe climate of mutual respect; and we accomplish these goals by emphasizing GE teacher attitudes, responsibility, knowledge and skill with ongoing and appropriate professional development.
Our theme for this year is "Building Our Future By Honoring Our Past."
We look forward to meeting you and your child(ren), as you join our Heritage IGC family, and we work together to meet the needs of all the students in our Coweta community.
